Joe Rosselott, 81, of Lynchburg, died Sunday, March 7, 2010 at his residence.
He was born Dec. 1, 1928 in Buford, the son of the late William and Minnie Mobley Rosselott.
He was a veteran of the United States Army serving during the Korean War and a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church for more than 50 years. Joe was a lifelong farmer in the Buford area and had worked with Rosselott Construction.
He is survived by his wife Lillian Leonard Rosselott, who he married May 14, 1955 in Fayetteville; a daughter, Debbie, and her husband Alan Hertlein of Lynchburg; two sons, Leonard and his wife Kim Rosselott of Wilmington and Billy Gene and his wife Peggy Rosselott of Lynchburg; 10 grandchildren, Zak Rosselott, Britney, Brett and Brooke Hertlein, Kole, Kris and Kaleb Rosselott, and Jessica, Lindsey, and Sarah Rosselott; a sister, Shirley Ferneau of Washington C.H.; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by one son, Kenneth Rosselott; two sisters, Norma Achor and Frances Quigley; a nephew, Billy Dale Achor; and a niece Annie Osborn.
Funeral services will be held 10:30 a.m. Thursday, March 11, 2010 at the Davis-Turner Funeral Home, Lynchburg. Father Mike Paraniuk will officiate. Burial with military honors will follow in the Buford Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday from 5-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
