James M. Godlove, 73, of Lynchburg, died Wednesday morning, Sept. 15, 2010 at Hospice of Cincinnati.
He was born Aug. 6, 1937 in Clinton County, the son of the late Dorris S. and Opal M. Vance Godlove.

Mr. Godlove had worked for Blue Ribbon Feed in Lynchburg for over 30 years, was a longtime farmer and had owned Godlove Trucking for many years. He was a member of the Dodsonville United Methodist Church, the Lynchburg Masonic Lodge 178 F&AM and the Scottish Rite Valley of Cincinnati.
He is survived by his wife, Carolyn Shaffer Godlove, whom he had married on July 28, 1966 in Allensburg; two sons, Dennis and Doug Godlove of Lynchburg; one brother, John (Thelma) Godlove of Wilmington; and two sisters, Janice (Charles) Frazior of Circleville and Doris Jean (John) Sewell of Xenia.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Dale Godlove.
Friends are invited to join with the family for a graveside service that will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 18th at the Troutwine Cemetery. There will be no visitation.
