James (Jim) Thompson, 65, of Winchester, passed away Friday, Jan. 29, 2010 at Adams County Regional Medical Center.
He was born in Cincinnati, Ohio on Sept. 29, 1944, the son of the late Gerald E. and Mabel Dell (Malone) Thompson.
James attended the Winchester Church of Christ in Christian Union.
He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Linda (Plummer) Thompson of Winchester, two daughters and sons-in-law; Pam and Darryl Porter of Seaman and Patty and Joseph Baker of Winchester; one brother and sister-in-law, Gary and Harlene Thompson of Seaman; one sister and bother-in-law, Geraldine and Steve Naylor of Winchester; four grandchildren; Jessica Porter, Katlyn Porter, Quintin Baker, and Kayla Baker; and several nieces and nephews. 
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, Feb. 2, 2010 at 1 p.m. at the Winchester Church of Christ in Christian Union with Rev. Dan Harrison officiating. Burial will follow in Cherry Fork Cemetery.
Friends may call on Monday from 6-9 p.m. at the Winchester Church of Christ in Christian Union. The Wallace-Thompson Funeral Home, Bradford-Sullivan Chapel in Winchester is in charge of the arrangements.
Memorials may be made to American Heart Association or American Cancer Society.
