Irene Totton, 80, of Hillsboro, died Wednesday, May 19, 2010 at the Highland District Hospital. 
She was born May 1, 1930 in Germany, the daughter of the late Karl and Bertha Betz. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters. 
Irene retired after 30 years of service from the Recto Molding Products Company in Cincinnati. She and her husband owned and operated D & I Totton Auction Company in Hillsboro for several years.
She is survived by her husband Dean Leonard Totton, who she married on Oct. 2, 1953; one son and daughter-in-law, Karl and Angela Totton of Hillsboro; a daughter, Mary Jane Jones, of Cincinnati, a sister, Annette Netisch of Germany; two grandchildren, Patrick and Alex Totton; and a great-grandson, Phillip Totton. 
Services will be held on Monday, May 24th at 7 p.m. at the Thompson Funeral Home with Rev. Sam Salyer officiating. 
Friends may call from 5-7 p.m.
