Iloean Purdom Shultz, 91, of Napoleon, Ohio, formerly of Greenfield, died Thursday, June 17, 2010 at Napoleon Lutheran Home in Napoleon.
She was born Dec. 9, 1918 in Fayette County, Ohio, the daughter of the late Henry Albert "Bertie" Purdom and Olive (Luttrell) Purdom.
She managed a hog business and co-farmed with her husband. She was a former employee of Greenfield Research and managed the Cherry Beauty Shop in Washington C.H. She was a member of Hope Lutheran Church in Hamler and a former member of Good Shepherd United Brethren Church.
She is survived by her daughters, Carol (Steve) Perkins of Hamler, Ohio and Retha (Ross) Lynch of Brevard, N.C.; a son, Gary Shultz of Xenia; grandchildren, Michal (Scott) Love of Memphis, Tenn., Lindsey (Matt) Bennett of Columbia, S.C., and Trent (fiancee, Lyndsey Berner) Perkins, both of Dublin, Ohio; and four great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Glenn Shultz, who passed away on Feb. 19, 1982, and two brothers, Waldo and Elmo Purdom.
Services will be held 2 p.m. Thursday, June 24, 2010 at the Murray-Fettro Funeral Home in Greenfield with Rev. Robert K. Blaine officiating. Burial will follow in the Greenfield Cemetery. Friends may call 11 a.m.-2 p.m. Thursday, June 24.
