Holt Whitley, 55, of Leesburg, died Wednesday, Oct. 20, 2010 at University Hospital, Cincinnati.

He was born Aug. 31, 1955 in Greenfield, the son of James H. and Helen L. (Pollitt) Whitley.

He was a 1973 graduate of McClain High School and was employed by Time Warner Cable.

On Jan. 1, 1999, he married Karen Blair, who survives. He is also survived by his mother, Helen L. Whitley, of Greenfield; his children, Angel (Jack) Blevens of Hillsboro, Scott (Missy) Purdin of Hillsboro, Jamie (Rebeckah) Purdin of Hillsboro, Rob (Dawn) Purdin of Hillsboro, Mary Beth (James) Craycraft of Leesburg, and Hannah, Candijo and Lilly Rose Whitley at home; 11 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; two sisters, Linda Goddard and Ginger (Wade) Renner, of Greenfield; two brothers, Steve (Joanne) Whitley of Hillsboro and David Whitley of Greenfield; five nephews; and three nieces.

He was preceded in death by his father, James H. Whitley; a son, Christopher Purdin; and an infant brother, Jimmy Whitley.

Services will be held Saturday, Oct. 23, 2010 at Anderson-Strueve Funeral Home, Greenfield. Burial will follow in the Greenfield Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home 4-8 p.m. Friday.
