Herschel Glenn Morgan, 75, of Hillsboro, passed away Thursday, Sept. 9, 2010 at his residence.
He was born June 14, 1935 in Highland County, the son of the late John Wesley Morgan and Beryl (Streiber) Morga .
He was a veteran of the U.S. Army.
Surviving are his wife of 49 years and two months, Patty Lou (Addington) Morgan of Hillsboro; one son, Randall Scott Morgan of Fayetteville; one daughter, Sheri Lynn (Jay) Prouty of Kettering; four grandchildren, Wesley Glenn Morgan, Bryan Allan Prouty, Elizabeth Ann Morgan, and Brad Michael Prouty; a mother-in-law, Almeda Addington of Florida; three sisters-in-law, Sheila (Dennis Cahoon) Smith of Florida, Myla (Phil) Thomas of Lebanon, and Patsy Morgan; three brothers, Forest (Betty) Morgan of Hillsboro, Charles (Ruby) Morgan of Hillsboro, and Tom (Norma) Morgan of Batavia; and many nieces and nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews.
In addition to his parents, Herschel was preceded in death by one brother, Harold G. Morgan, and his father-in-law, Dewey Addington.
Services will be held at Rhoads-Edgington Funeral Home, Sept. 13, 2010 at 2 p.m. with Pastor George Ragan officiating. Interment will follow in the Hamer Township Cemetery where the Highland County Honor Guard will conduct full military honors.
Friends will be received at Rhoads-Edgington Funeral Home in Hillsboro, Monday, Sept. 13, 2010, noon- 2 p.m.
