Helen (Hoffer) Kidder, 90, of Peebles, passed away Tuesday, Dec. 7, 2010 at Eagle Creek Nursing Home.

She was born in Scioto County on Jan. 23, 1920, the daughter of the late George and Minnie (Maddox) Hoffer.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Albert Kidder, who passed away in 1982; four brothers; and four sisters. 

She is survived by six sons and daughters-in-law, James and Sharon of West Union, Cecil and Gloria of Wilmington, Frank and Carol of Peebles, Clarence and Beverly of Lees Creek, John and Connie of Peebles, and Dennis and Kathy Kidder of Peebles; one daughter and son-in-law, Ruth Ann and Carl Hughes of Lees Creek; one brother, Vernie Hoffer of Lima; 19 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren; 15 great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. 

Funeral services will be held on Friday, Dec. 10, 2010 at 11 a.m. at the Wallace-Thompson Funeral Home in Peebles with Richard Lloyd officiating. Burial will follow in New Hoffer Hill Cemetery.

Friends may call on Friday from 9-11 a.m. at the Wallace-Thompson Funeral Home in Peebles.
