Heber L. Williamson, 80, of Sinking Spring, Ohio, died Saturday, Oct. 16, 2010 at Highland District Hospital.
He was born at Hillsboro on March 28, 1930, the son of the late Samuel and Louella (Arledge) Williamson.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Harry and Russell Williamson; and one sister, Dorothy Chaney.
He was a member of the Samantha Freewill Baptist Church. He was a U.S. Marine, having served in the Korean War, and he retired from General Motors after 33 years of service.
He is survived by his wife, Helen (Hopkins) Williamson, whom he married on May 9, 1964; two sons, Terry Williamson of Hillsboro, and Mike Hopkins of Sinking Spring; three daughters and sons-in-law, Kim and Kevin Robinson of Sinking Spring, Vicky Williamson of Leesburg, and Connie and Brian Coogan of Leesburg; one brother and sister-in-law, Dale and Patti Williamson of Belfast; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Mabel and Al Lake of Hillsboro, and Susan and Mike Cook of Martinsville; a sister-in-law, Beulah Deaton of Hillsboro; six grandchildren, Derek Bennington, Justin Faulconer, Mirah Robinson, Brandi Hawkins, Candace Kinnett and Brianna McDulin; one great-grandson, John Hawkins; several nieces and nephews and a host of friends.
Funeral Services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 20 at the Wylie-Thompson Funeral Home in Sinking Spring with the Rev. Wiley Perkins and Scott Faulconer officiating.
Burial will follow in the Dunkard Ridge Cemetery with military graveside rites by the Highland County Honor Guard.
Friends may call on Tuesday from 4-8 p.m. at the Wylie-Thompson Funeral Home.
