Harold Mark Smith, 55, of Leesburg, died Saturday, Jan. 29, 2011 at Riverside Methodist Hospital in Columbus due to complications of pneumonia.

He was born Sept. 21, 1955 in Washington C.H., the son of Betty L. (Hart) and the late Harold D. Smith.

He served in the U.S. Navy. He was a former employee of Collins Meat Packing in Greenfield and attended Edward Lee McClain High School.

He is survived by his wife, Teresa Ann (Wheeldon) Smith, whom he married June 3, 1985; one daughter, Candice (Chris) Johnson of Greenfield; three sons, Shane (Lori) Smith of Leesburg, John (Angie Downing) Smith of Washington C.H., and Steven (Stacy) Smith of Greenfield; his mother, Betty L. Smith of Hillsboro; two sisters, Kathy (Rodney) Skaggs of Bainbridge and Terri (Gene) Broughton of Chillicothe; one brother, Brian (Mitzi) Smith of Hillsboro; nine grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by a brother, Roger Smith, and his grandparents, Roy and Bertha Smith and Victor and Dorothy Hart.

A graveside service will be held at a later date at the convenience of the family at Hardin's Creek "Bridges" Cemetery in Leesburg. A visitation will be held 4-8 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 2, 2011 at the Murray-Fettro Funeral home in Greenfield.

Memorial contributions may be made to the family in care of Harold Mark Smith Memorial Fund at any Fifth Third Bank.
