Harold Lewis "Satch" Fittro

     Harold Lewis “Satch” Fittro, 75, of Lynchburg, died Monday morning, Aug. 16, 2010 at the Clinton Memorial Hospital.
     He was born May 7, 1935 in Fairview, Ohio, the son of the late Harold P. and Laura Lee Lewis Fittro.
     Mr. Fittro had retired in 1998 as the plant superintendent for the Highland Stone Division. He was baptized at the Fairview Church of Christ and was a member of the Lynchburg First Church of Christ. He was a 1954 graduate of Lynchburg High School and had been a Little League coach in both baseball and basketball. He was an avid bowler and softball player.
     He is survived by his wife, Judy Roads Fittro, whom he had married on Oct. 19, 1957; three children, Lori (John) Byrom of Blanchester, Linda (Robert) Hatten of Lynchburg, and John (Tracy) Fittro of Mt. Orab; seven grandchildren, Shane Byrom, Angela Byrom, Codi Lin Hatten, Cali Ann Hatten, Alec Smith, Morgan Fittro and Zoe Fittro; four great-grandchildren, Dylon Byrom, Lacie Tedrick, Braz Byrom and Audri Byrom; three sisters, Eloise Ludwick of Hillsboro, Judy (John) Gerhardt of Speedwell, Tenn., and Pat Thompson of Hillsboro; two brothers, John D. (Joy) Fittro of Springfield and David (Lisa) Fittro of Lynchburg; and many nieces and nephews.
     In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one son, Harold Roads “Rusty” Fittro; one brother, James Fittro; and a sister-in-law, Janis Jacobs.
     Services will be held 11 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 19, 2010 at the Pricetown Church of Christ. Daryl Mount will officiate. Burial will follow in the Troutwine Cemetery. Friends may call on Wednesday from 5-8 p.m. at the Pricetown Church of Christ. The Davis-Turner Funeral Home is serving the family.
