Grace Brown, 91, of Lynchburg, died Wednesday, April 27, 2011 at the Highland District Hospital.

She was born Jan. 14, 1920, in Highland County, a daughter of the late James and Cynthia Ellen (Ison) Hutchinson.

She was a member of the Pricetown Church of Christ and the Cherry Twig.

She is survived by four children, Barbara Stevens and her husband Dan of Benson, Ariz., Robert Brown and his wife Carol of Howard, Ohio, Judy Simmons of Pricetown and Kathleen Mercer of Lynchburg; seven grandchildren, Julie Stevens of Cincinnati, Linda (Navid) Abedian of Tucson, Ariz., Jeff Brown of Columbus, Cheryl (Matt) Bardoe of Chicago, Craig Simmons of Old Lime, Conn., Ronda (Kevin) Gilbert of Fairfax, Va. and Cindy Jones of Johnstown, Pa.; seven great-grandchildren, Emma Abedian, Anisa Abedian, Ethan Bardoe, Amelia Bardoe, Kendra Bush, Jacob Dillon and Dustin Dillon; one sister, Polly Hastings of Florence, Ky.; a brother-in-law, Herman (Margaret) Brown of Columbus; as well as many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, Edward Clarence Brown, on Feb. 27, 2001, a son-in-law, Britton A. “Bud” Mercer; as well as three brothers and five sisters.

Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Saturday, April 30, 2011 at the Pricetown Church of Christ. Leo Kuhn and Daryl Mount will officiate. Burial will follow in the Harwood Cemetery. Friends may call from 11 a.m. until the time of the service at 1 p.m. at the church.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Caring and Sharing Fund, c/o the Pricetown Church of Christ, 2070 S.R. 131, Hillsboro, Ohio 45133.

The Davis-Turner Funeral Home in Lynchburg is serving the family.
