Glenn Harris, 81, of Greenfield, died Wednesday, Nov. 10, 2010 at his residence.

He was born Nov. 11, 1928 in Greenfield, the son of the late Leonard A. and Cora Lee (Fraley) Harris.

He had formerly been employed by Med-O-Pure Dairy, was a retired agent with National Life & Accident and American General Insurance Companies, was a school bus driver for Greenfield Schools, and was a supervisor of Magic Kingdom playground. He attended McClain High School and was a member of the Greenfield Church of Christ and Greenfield Rotary Club. He had served with the Ohio National Guard during World War II.

On Aug. 30, 1958, he married Margaret Beechler, who survives. He is also survived by two sons, Mark (Kay) Harris and Steve Harris, both of Greenfield; four grandchildren, Nick and Casey Harris, Jessica (Drew) Gilliard, and Brittany Harris; three-great-grandchildren, McKenzie, Dylan, and Dalton Gilliard; a brother, Paul Harris, of Franklin; and a sister-in-law, May Harris of Arizona.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Genoa Smith and Genetta Helmer; and by three brothers, Ed, Chester, and Leonard Harris, Jr.

Services will be held 2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 13, 2010 at the Greenfield Church of Christ with Bill Requardt and Danny Dodds officiating. Burial will follow at the Greenfield Cemetery. Friends may call at the church 4-8 p.m. Friday.
