George W. Gall, 69, of Hillsboro, died Tuesday, Jan. 25, 2011 at the Highland District Hospital.

He was born Nov. 22, 1941 in Berrysville, the son of the late George W. and Mabel G. (Miller) Gall.
Mr. Gall had retired after 44 years of service with the Ohio Department of Transportation. He was a member of the Hillsboro Fraternal Order of Eagles #1161, the Hillsboro VFW Post 9094 and the AmVets Post 61.
He is survived by his wife, Sharon (Walker) Gall, whom he had married on Jan. 6, 1964 in Arkansas; one daughter and son-in-law, Mindy and Bob Payne of Hillsboro; two grandchildren, Chase and Xander Willoughby; two brothers, Thomas (Ruby) Gall and Vic (Carla) Gall of Hillsboro; his father-in-law, Clarence Walker of Hillsboro; and seven nieces and nephews.
Services will be held 1 p.m. Monday, Jan. 31 at the Turner & Son Funeral Home in Hillsboro. Burial will follow in the Prospect Cemetery. Friends may call on Sunday from 1-4 p.m. at the Turner & Son Funeral Home in Hillsboro. Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of the donor's choice.
