Gaynelle M. McCoy, 89, of Midland, died Sunday evening, Sept. 26, 2010 at the Miami Valley Hospital.

She was born April 6, 1921 in Ironton, a daughter of the late Earl and Sadie (Damron) Massie.

She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Milford.

She is survived by a son, Mike McCoy of Midland, with whom she made her home; a daughter, Judith Corwin, and her husband, Nick, of Cincinnati; one sister, Ersa Kelly of Milford; two brothers, Gary Massie of Springfield and Rex Massie of Florida; six grandchildren, Shad Gooding, Josh Gooding, Shaunea Jauch, Chane McCoy, Asher McCoy and Sonia Bowen; and 14 great grandchildren, Anna Gooding, Jacob Gooding, Julia Gooding, Paige Gooding, Will Gooding, Sienna Jauch, Courtney McCoy, Chelsea McCoy, Robert McCoy, Chane McCoy, Jr., Macey McCoy, Lera Beth McCoy, Heather Bowen and Tristen Bowen.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 36 years, Fred E. McCoy, on April 30, 1982; a son, Fred M. McCoy, on Nov. 19, 1991, and a daughter-in-law, Marjorie McCoy, who passed away Jan. 27, 2010.

Graveside funeral services will be Thursday, Sept. 30, 2010 at Graceland Memorial Gardens in Milford. Pastor Don Melton will officiate. There will be no visitation.
