Gary A. Tharp, 60, of Greenfield, died Wednesday, Dec. 8, 2010. 
He was born on Jan. 30, 1950, in Hillsboro, the son of the late Oscar H. and Blanche R. (Arledge) Tharp. 
Besides his parents, he was pre-deceased by a brother, Oscar Tharp, Jr.; and two sisters, Margaret Hamilton and Peggy Lorie Williamson.
He is survived by a brother, Virgil Tharp of Greenfield; four sisters and brothers in law, Marilyn (Dale) Willey of Hillsboro, Jacalyn (John) Campton of Hillsboro, Brenda (Robert) Parker of Dayton, Rebecca (Robert) Creamer of Hillsboro; and a half-sister, Florence Hargis of Somerset, Ky. He is also survived by 10 nieces and nephews; Melissa J. Bauer, Christopher Music, Samantha Pinkerton, Kandice R. Creamer, Stephanie A. Creamer, John B. Parker, Rebecca M. Parker, Carla A. Williamson, John E. Williamson, Jr., and Kathy Hoffer.
Funeral services will be held at Thompson Funeral Home in Hillsboro on Monday, Dec. 13, at 1 p.m. with John Porter officiating. 
Burial will follow in the Hillsboro Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home between 11 a.m. and the time of the funeral.
