Fred M. Adams, 71, of Lynchburg, died Tuesday evening, Oct. 26, 2010 at Christ Hospital in Cincinnati.

He was born Sept. 24, 1939 in Cincinnati, the son of the late Everett and Sarah Ann (Bowles) Adams.

He was a retired brick mason and was a member of the Hillsboro Southern Baptist Church.

He is survived by five children, Paul Glasier of Cincinnati, James Rust of Hillsboro, Angela Beatty of Hillsboro, Lisa Shepherd and her husband Larry of Hillsboro, and Shanda Tuck and her husband Robert of Hillsboro; several grandchildren and great grandchildren; one sister, Rose (Robert) Forsee of Cincinnati; one brother, Everett (Sandy) Adams of Cincinnati; a grandson-in-law, Nate Berry of Hillsboro as well as several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Heather Berry, who passed away March 8, 2010; a sister, Susie Peugh; a brother, Harrison Adams, and a nephew, Charlie Adams.

Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 30, 2010 at the Hillsboro Southern Baptist Church. Pastor Scott Slone will officiate. Burial will follow in the Hamer Township Cemetery. Friends may call from 6-8 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 29, 2010 at the church. 

Contributions in Mr. Adams’ memory may be made to any Merchants National Bank branch, c/o the account of Lisa Shepherd.
