Forest Eldon Roberts
Forest Eldon Roberts, 71, of Leesburg, Ohio died March 8, 2010 at his residence.
He was born January 11, 1939 in New Richmond, Ohio, the son of Forest Charles Roberts and Grace Yates Roberts.
Mr. Roberts was a 1957 graduate of Fairfield High School and was a general contractor for more than 50 years. He was an avid basketball player and fan, and enjoyed spending time with his family. He attended the Chapel of Hope of Greenfield.
Survivors include his wife, Francis (Short) Roberts, whom he married in June 1997; three daughters, Brenda (Craig) Bond of Greenfield, Debbie Roberts of Greenfield, and Grace (David) Ehlers of Greenfield; one son, Forest S. Roberts of Greenfield; three stepdaughters, Lisa (Chris) Cox of Washington C.H., Laura Helsel of Corinne, WV and Victoria Self of Washington C.H.; one
stepson, Alan (Tammy) Detty of Washington C.H.; 11 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and 14 step-grandchildren; two sisters, Donna (Gary) Moore of Leesburg and Jeanie (Gary) Pitzer of Leesburg; two brothers, Harold
(Evelyn) Roberts of Lebanon and Robert J. Roberts of Greenfield; numerous nieces and nephews.
Mr. Roberts was preceded in death by one grandson, Taylor Wayne Ludwick; one granddaughter, Sarah Elaine Ehlers; one sister, Thelma Tolle; and both parents.
Service will be 2 p.m. Thursday, March 11 at the Chapel of Hope, Greenfield, with Pastor Randy Abbott officiating and burial in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Leesburg. Friends may call at the Chapel of Hope from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, March 10.
