Evelyn May Wisecup-Boden passed away Tuesday, July 6, 2010, at Emeritus of Ocala East, in Ocala, Fla.
She was born in Dadsville, Ohio, on May 3, 1932, the daughter of Sherman and Agnes Hypes.
Raised in and around Greenfield, Ohio, she attended Buckskin Elementary and graduated from Unioto High School. During her adult years in Greenfield, she served as a Girl Scout leader. In 1970, she moved her family to Ocala, where she worked for 20 years at Certified Grocers. She adored her Welsh-Corgi named Sable and enjoyed sharing tales of her rock collection.
Besides her parents, Evelyn was preceded in death by a sister, Marcille Flannery, formerly of Greenfield, and a daughter-in-law, Terry Wisecup.
She is survived by three sons, Scott Wisecup and Dennis (Michelle) Boden, both of Belleview, Fla., and Steve (Teresa) Wisecup of Greenfield; one daughter, Jama (Bob) Dollar of New Smyrna Beach, Fla.; five grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; two sisters, Esther Lewis of
Brookville, Ohio and Margaret (Merle) Donthanier of Michigan; one brother, Leonard Hypes of Troy, Ohio; several nieces and nephews, and many caring former neighbors.
According to her wishes, she was cremated. A private memorial service was held at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice of Marion County (Florida) in memory of Evelyn Boden.
Roberts Funeral Home of downtown Ocala is serving the family.
