Ellen Faye Hopkins, 66, of Leesburg, died Friday, Nov. 19, 2010 at her home.
She was born Dec. 24, 1943 in Portsmouth, the daughter of the late Norman and Rosemary Malone Hopkins.
She is survived by seven children, Rosemary (Jeff) Shoemaker of Leesburg, Bonnie (Jeff) Smith of Hillsboro, Vonna (Delmar) McCarty of New Petersburg, Charlotte Roberts of Greenfield, Rex Cundiff of Carmel, April Waulk of Milford, and Jeffrey Waulk of Greenfield; grandchildren, Jamie Lake, Ashley Smith, Johnny Lake, Bradley Smith, Emily Smith, Marie Roberts, Samantha McCarty, Brittany Roberts, Joshua Grimm, Jacob Roberts, Taylor Waulk, Makayla Grimm, Lakota Cundiff, Haley Waulk, and Kylee Waulk; three great-grandchildren, McKenna Cooper, Xander Lake, and Kambriah Tomlin, with two great grandchildren on the way; siblings, Joan Howard of Circleville, Ruth Ann (Edgar) Ward of Vanlue, Ohio, Helen Mae Barrera of Hillsboro, Margaret Louise Ward of Wilmington, and Linda Sue (William) Mullins of Greenfield; special son Tony Roberts of Louisiana; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 23, 2010 at the Samantha Free Will Baptist Church. The Reverend Wylie Perkins will officiate. Burial will follow in the Hillsboro Cemetery. Visitation will be held Tuesday from noon until the time of service at 2 p.m. at the church. The Turner & Son Funeral Home, Hillsboro, is serving the family.
