Elizabeth Lightner Rhoads Puckett, 92, of Hillsboro, died Wednesday, Feb. 16, 2011 at Laurels of Hillsboro.
Elizabeth was born April 30, 1918 in Flemingsburg, Ky. to Otis and Alice (Deatley) Lightner.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husbands, Ova Rhoads and Dale T. Puckett; her sisters, Judy Davis, Della Reno and Luvina Harmon; and her brothers, Herman Lightner, Matt Lightner, and Randolph Lightner.
Elizabeth is survived by her sons, Donald (Marianna) Rhoads and Lloyd (Ronda) Rhoads; a brother, Woodrow Lightner; her grandchildren, Lucille (Vic) Allen, Donnie (Janie) Rhoads, Ronnie (Theresa) Rhoads, David (Nicole) Rhoads, and Pamela (Joe) McClellen; 14 great-grandchildren; nine great-great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; special friends of Dale and Elizabeth, P.J. Ryan, Lloyd and Janet Palmer; and special friends of Elizabeth, Minnie Hawk and Theresa Grimsley.
Funeral services at the Thompson Funeral were held Sunday, Feb. 20, 2011, 2 p.m. at the Thompson Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Prospect Cemetery. A visitation was held Sunday from noon till time of service at 2 p.m.
