Elbirda E. Walls, 95, of Washington C.H., formerly of Greenfield, died Tuesday, Aug. 3, 2010 at Edgewood Manor of Greenfield.
She was born Jan. 9, 1915 in Fayette County, the daughter of the late George and Mae Ruth (Cokonougher) Wilson.
She was retired from Greenfield Research and a member of Good Shepherd United Brethren Church.
She is survived by her daughter, Dixie L. McCoy, of Washington C.H.; a granddaughter, Sharon K. (Mitchell) Mider, of Washington C.H.; three great-grandchildren, Jamisha Riley, Jeremy (Lisa) Mider, and James Mitchel Mider, all of Washington C.H.; special friend, Brandi Culp of Washington C.H.; and five great-great grandchildren, Levi, Cierra, and Trevin Riley and Tristine and Treyden Mider, all of Washington C.H.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ora Walls, on Jan. 2, 1994, and her brother, Charles, Wilson.
Services will be held 10 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 7, 2010 at the Murray-Fettro Funeral Home in Greenfield with Pastor James Daugherty officiating. Burial will follow in the Greenfield Cemetery. A visitation will be held 5-8 p.m. Friday, Aug. 6, 2010.
