Elaine Davis, 82, of Wilmington, died Sunday, Dec. 19, 2010 at the Clinton Memorial Hospital in Wilmington.
She was born June 5, 1928 in New Holland, the daughter of the late Harold and Alice Jones Stoker.
Mrs. Davis was a homemaker.
She is survived by two daughters, Susan Ryan of Wilmington and Martha (Ron) Stryker of Wilmington; two step-sons, Willie (Bev) Davis of Milford and Steve (Karen) Davis of Lynchburg; grandchildren, Holly Ryan of Clarksburg, Edward William Ryan of Mason, David Ryan of Mason, Michelle (Justin) McQueen of Hebron, Ky., Christie Hoesl of Amelia, Amy (Chris) Wilson of Milford, Joshua Robert Davis of Dayton, Tina (Dave) Braden of Bethel, Kenny Overstreet of Fayetteville, Kelly Overstreet of Fayetteville, Brigette (Larry) Wolf of Fayetteville and Brandy (Terry) Roush of Lynchburg; 29 great-grandchildren, seven great-great grandchildren; and one brother, Bill Stoker of Williamsport.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William A. Davis on Oct. 2, 1977. Family and friends are invited to a graveside service at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 22 at the Lynchburg Masonic Cemetery. Rev. Harold Braley will officiate. There will be no visitation. The Davis-Turner Funeral Home is serving the family.
