Eileen Trent-Hudnell, 82, of Greenfield, passed away peacefully Monday, Nov. 23, 2009 at Hearth and Care of Greenfield.
She was born April 7, 1927 in Bainbridge, Ohio, the daughter of the late Elwood and Mae (Cross) Everhart.
She retired from Ferno-Washington as a sewing machine operator after serving there for many years. She had previously been employed at the Edgewood Manor, U.S. Shoe Corp., and the American Pad and Textile Corp. of Greenfield. She was a member and friend of the Greenfield Eagles. Eileen spent many hours crocheting afghans. She enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening, and cooking. Eileen was a friend to many and always willing to lend a helping hand to those in need. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother and will be sadly missed by all those who knew and loved her.
She is survived by three daughters, Dianna (Gerald) Stevens of Greenfield, Joyce (Ronald) Benner of Bainbridge, and Lillian (Ernest) Looney of Greenfield; 12 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; three sisters, Ellen (Albert) Knisley of Greenfield, Betty (Herb) Buck of Greenfield, and Marie (Bob) Tillis of Greenfield; one brother, John (Irmgard) Everhart, of Greenfield; and nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one son, Robert W. Trent; two infant daughters; two sisters; and two brothers.
Services will be held 1 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 25, 2009 at the Murray-Fettro Funeral Home in Greenfield with Rev. Mark Current officiating. Burial will follow at the Greenfield Cemetery. A visitation will be held 11 a.m.-1 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 25, 2009.
