A. Edward Lerch, 74, of Hillsboro, passed away Friday, Aug. 6, 2010 at his residence.
He was born Sept. 27, 1935 in Dayton, the son of the late Arthur Lewis Lerch and Glenna Marie Mann Lerch.
Ed was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church, was a local farmer, and was the former owner of Lerch's Barnlot LTD.
Surviving are his wife, Anne Lerch of Hillsboro, whom he married May 19, 1956; seven children, Stephen (Alisa) Lerch of Hillsboro, Eileen (Joe) Hahn of Mason, Kenny (Leslie) Lerch of Hillsboro, Matthew (Marco Capalino) Lerch of Columbus, Catherine (Mike) Shanahan of Hillsboro, Mark (Mary Kay) Lerch of Hillsboro, and Patricia (Damon) Walker of Clermont, Fla.; 10 grandchildren; one brother, Michael (Adele) Lerch, of Xenia; and one sister, Irma (Edward) Wolf, of Perrysburg.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by two sisters, Grace Rogus and Rosemarie Burley.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Mary Catholic Church, Hillsboro, Friday, Aug. 13, 2010 at 1 p.m. with Rev. Mike Paraniuk officiating. Interment will follow in the St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery, Hillsboro, Ohio.
Friends will be received at Fr. Luehrmann Hall at St. Mary Catholic Church in Hillsboro Friday, Aug. 13, 2010, 10 a.m. - 1 p.m.
