Douglas E. White, 53, of Hillsboro, died Monday, April 25, 2011 at the Bethesda North Hospital.
He was born in Huntington, W.Va., on May 9, 1957, the son of the late Arvel R. White and Margaret (Elkins) Brinkley.
He was a member of the Northview Baptist Church, worked for 21 years at White's Cake Box and 10 years at ABX and was an avid musician and had played in several bands.
On May 25, 1991, he was united in marriage to Brenda (Tolle) White, who survives. He is also survived by one son, Ryan Scott White of Hillsboro; mother and stepfather, Jackie and Walter Brinkley of Hillsboro; three sisters and brothers-in-law, Amelia and Jerry Robinson, Rebecca and Dwayne Hawkins and Brenda and Brett Howland, all of of Hillsboro; his mother-in-law, Dolly Arledge of Hillsboro; his father-in-law, Paul (Sherry) Tolle of New Vienna; two nephews, Scott Robinson and Daniel Hawkins; four nieces, Jacklyn (Tyler) Fite, Christina Kisling, Faith Hawkins and Tonya (Brian) Hall; and several great nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Friday, April 29, 2011 at the Northview Baptist Church with Brother Kenny Cousar officiating. Burial will follow in the Sabina Cemetery.
Friends may call on Thursday evening from 5-8 p.m. at the Thompson Funeral Home and Cremation Service.
