Dorothy Wood, 96, of Hillsboro, formerly of Cincinnati, passed away Sunday, Oct. 24, 2010 at the Highland House in Hillsboro.

She was born March 23, 1914 in Cincinnati, the daughter of the late Clifford Wood and Hattie Fry Wood.

Dorothy worked as a lab technician for Proctor & Gamble Co.

She is survived by three nieces, Judy (Alfred) Martellotti, Joan (Robert) Greene, and Vivian Stykes; many great-nieces and great-nephews, cousins and neighbors; and a special friend, Dorothy Dahling.

In addition to her parents, Dorothy was preceded in death by one sister, Bernice (Albert) Koch; three brothers, Ival Wood, Chester (Hattie) Wood, and Lowell (Pearl) Wood; and two nieces, Eileen Wood and Marie Leigh.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 27, 2010, at the Rhoads-Edgington Funeral Home, Hillsboro with Pastor Jerry Mueller officiating. Interment will follow in the Williamsburg Cemetery, Williamsburg, Ohio.
