Dixie Watts, 71, of Hillsboro, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, Oct. 29, 2010 at Highland District Hospital.

She was born May 22, 1939 in Greenfield, the daughter of the late Harold and Rosalee (Addy) Watts.

She is survived by a sister, Diana Davis of Hillsboro; and a cousin, Nola (Marty) Hutchinson of Columbus. She is also survived by the staff of Frazer Home in Hillsboro, where she resided, numerous friends at Highco, as well as long-time Frazer Home residents and friends Brenda Castello and Shawna Hoehne.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Delton Watts. 

A memorial service and celebration of Dixie’s life will be held 11 a.m. Friday, Nov. 5, 2010 at the Samantha Freewill Baptist Church. Rev. Wiley Perkins and Kraig Walker will officiate. A private burial of cremated remains will take place at the convenience of her family and caregivers at the Greenfield Cemetery.

The Turner & Son Funeral Home and Crematory in Hillsboro is serving the family and providing cremation services.
