Christopher F. “Chris” Lewis, 25, of Hillsboro, died Saturday evening, Jan. 22, 2011 at the Highland District Hospital.

He was born July 3, 1985 in Georgetown, a son of John and Christina "Tina" (Emsicke) Lewis of Hillsboro.

He was an excellent mechanic and was employed at West End Garage in Wilmington.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by two sons, Oakley Lewis and Harley Lewis, both of Peebles; his fiancée and mother of his children, Brittany Black of Peebles; two brothers, Johnny Lewis and Timothy Lewis, both of Hillsboro; maternal grandparents, Francis Emsicke of Cincinnati, Elwood and Rosie Burton of Florida, and Leona Burton of Lynchburg, and his paternal grandmother, Mary Lewis of Lynchburg; his great-grandfather, John Jackson of Lynchburg; six aunts, Kathy (John) Goins of Kentucky, Judy (Robbin) Scarberry of Hillsboro, Phyllis (Clarence) Hartness of Kentucky, Donna (John) Lawson of Lynchburg, Penny Shope of Lynchburg, Martha (Jeff) Jones of Lynchburg; three uncles, Junior (Jessica) Burton of Kentucky, William D. (Becky) Lewis Jr. of Lynchburg, Roger Lewis of Lynchburg; and two special friends, Justin Faulkner of Wilmington and Rick Fraley of Hillsboro.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, William D. Lewis, Sr., and his great-grandmother, Martha Jackson.

Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 27, 2011 at the Davis-Turner Funeral Home in Lynchburg. Pastor Delbert Saylor will officiate.  Burial will follow in the Resthaven Memory Gardens. Friends may call from 11 a.m. until the time of the service at 1 p.m. on Thursday at the funeral home in Lynchburg.
