Chester L. Hammell, Jr., 63, of Lynchburg, died Saturday, June 5, 2010 at his residence.  
He was born Oct.16, 1946 in Cincinnati, the son of Chester L. and Marion L. Schnelle Hammell, Sr. 
In 1982, he opened and was still operating Hammell’s Tax and Accounting in Hillsboro. He was formerly associated with Merchants National  Bank serving as vice president, he was a member of Highland Lodge #38 Free and Accepted Masons; and member and past president of Hillsboro Rotary.  
He is survived by his mother, Marion Hammell, of Lynchburg; and three brothers, Steven L. Hammell of Mason, Daniel E. Hammell of Lynchburg, and Geoffrey J. Hammell of Lynchburg.  
He was preceded in death by his father, Chester L. Hammell, Sr.  Funeral services will be held 10 a.m. Thursday, June 10 at the Turner & Son Funeral Home, Hillsboro. Leo Kuhn will officiate. Burial will follow in the Barker Cemetery near Pricetown.  
Visitation will be held Wednesday from 5-8 p.m. at the Turner & Son Funeral Home, Hillsboro.
