Charles W. “Charlie” Stultz, 77, of Hillsboro, died Friday morning, Feb. 25, 2011 at his residence.
He was born Sept. 10, 1933 in Xenia, a son of the late Carl and Lorine (Hammond) Stultz.
He was a Korean War veteran of the United States Army.
He is survived by two daughters, Jill Benkiel and her husband Dan of Hillsboro and Luwanna Allen and her husband John of Florida; a stepson, John Journell of Indiana; four grandchildren, Juliana, Jacquob, Angelea and David Charles; two great-grandchildren, Charlize and Kai’lei; a brother, Larlyn (Carol) Stultz of Xenia; a sister, Luwanna Delaney of Xenia; a sister-in-law, Peggy Stultz; several nieces and nephews, as well as a host of friends at Hillsboro Regional Dialysis and the morning crew at the Hillsboro McDonald’s.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Judy (Cincel) Stultz, in 1972; and three siblings, Carlene Humston, Lowell Stultz and Vonley Stultz.
Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Monday, Feb. 28, 2011 at the Hillsboro Church of Christ. John Porter will officiate. Burial with military honors accorded by the Highland County Honor Guard will follow in the Dunkard Ridge Cemetery. Friends may call from 1 p.m. until the time of the service at 2 p.m. at the church on Monday.
