Charles Raymond Williams, 86, of Georgetown, died Sunday, November 8, 2009 at The Ohio Veterans Home of Georgetown.
He was born at Hillsboro on March 19, 1923, the son of the late C. Addison and Ruth (Reno) Williams. He was preceded in death by one infant brother, John Roger Williams.
He was a member of the Hillsboro First Baptist Church, served in WWII in the Pacific Theater, retired as a salesman for Keebler Company, and worked for the Veterans Administration transporting Veterans to medical facilities.
He is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Kip and Cheryl Williams of Georgetown; one daughter and son-in-law, Kim and Norman Crum of Hillsboro; one sister and brother-in-law, Karol and John Randle of Centerville; five brothers, Phillip (Pricilla) Williams of Washington Court House, Robert (Shirely) Williams of Hillsboro, Richard (Eleanor) Williams of Hillsboro, David (Lois) Williams of Hillsboro, and Eugene (Beverly) Williams of Blanchester; two grandchildren, C.J. George of Hillsboro and Ashley Armstrong of Daytona, Fla.; one great-grandchild, Colton Lee Armstrong; and one uncle, James (Lee) Reno of Washington Court House.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, November 11, 2009 at 3 p.m. at the Thompson Funeral Home with Pastor Bill Collett officiating. Burial will follow in the Hillsboro Cemetery with military graveside services by the Highland County Honor Guard.
Friends may call on Wednesday from 1 p.m. till service time at 3 p.m. at the Thompson Funeral Home.
