Brackie V. Walker, 75, of Hillsboro, passed away Saturday morning, Nov. 20, 2010 at Highland District Hospital in Hillsboro.

She was born Jan 18, 1935 in Hillsboro, the daughter of the late Orlando & Grace (Collier) Chambers.

Brackie retired as a rural letter carrier for the Hillsboro Post Office and had been a farmer. She was a member of the Folsom United Methodist Church and the Eastern Star in Sinking Springs.

Surviving are her children, Elliot (Sherry) Walker, Valerie (James) Setty, Nolan (Angela) Walker, and Melonie (Randall) Barr, all of Hillsboro, and Kyle (Sharon) Walker of Athens; 13 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren, Jessica Jones and her daughter Kaitlynn Jones, Erin (Chad) Stern and their children Autumn & Liam Stern, Alex Walker, Chelsey (Chad) Howland, McKinze (Nate) White, Elizabeth (Taylor) Pniewski, Clint Setty, Clay Setty, Elysia Setty, Stacy (Josh) Ashley, Jeremy (Constance) Walker, Corey Barr, & Meghan Barr; her siblings, Rae Willis, Paula Stevens, Billie Smith, Lando Jean Chambers, George (Jane) Chambers, Lowell (Carolyn) Chambers, all of Hillsboro, Patricia (Paul) Leach of Boston, Ky., and Eldon (Mary) Chambers of Gainesville, Fla.; and numerous nieces & nephews.

In addition to her parents, Brackie was preceded in death by her husband, Richard E. Walker, on Oct. 11, 1976; and her good friend, Elmer Beatty, Jr.

Funeral services will be held 10 a.m., Saturday, Nov. 27, 2010 at Folsom United Methodist Church, with Revs. Ken Woleab & Don Gorman co-officiating. Interment will follow in the Union Cemetery, Belfast, Ohio.

Friends will be received at Rhoads-Edgington Funeral Home, 138 East Main Street, Hillsboro on Friday, Nov. 26, 2010 from 4-8 p.m.
