Blanche Bernice (Brown) Miller, 90, of Hillsboro, formerly of Greenfield, Washington C.H, and Leesburg, died Wednesday, Jan. 20, 2010 at Heartland of Hillsboro.
She was born April 20, 1919 in Brown County, the daughter of the late Albert and Della (Burton) Brown.
She was a former employee of Wilknet Hosiery of Greenfield, Sugar Creek Meat Packing of Washington C.H., and Greenfield Area Medical Center. She was a 1937 graduate of Lynchburg High School and a member of the Greenfield Church of Christ and the Night Owls C.B. Club of Washington C.H., known as Yellow Rose.
She is survived by one sister, Willimae Davidson, of Lynchburg; three nieces, Carol Williams of Hillsboro, Dee Dee Harless of Hillsboro, and Cindy Williams of Wilmington; many nieces and nephews; and special friend Donna Fite.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Austin Fay (Hawk) Miller, who passed away Nov. 19, 1998 after 60 years of marriage; one son, Billy Miller; and four sisters, Viola Shaffer, Opal Malott, Francis Kestler, and Pearl Campbell.
Services will be held Saturday, Jan. 23, 2010 at 2 p.m. at the Murray-Fettro Funeral Home in Greenfield with Rev. Brad Harris officiating. Burial will be held at the Greenfield Cemetery. A visitation is scheduled for Saturday, Jan. 23, 2010 from 12-2 p.m.
