Betty Mae Brown, 88, of Hillsboro, died Thursday evening, Jan. 27, 2011 at her residence.
She was born May 22, 1922, in Portsmouth, the daughter of the late Jesse and Ada M. (Burden) Lucas.
She was a member of the Touchpoint Pentecostal Church in Hillsboro.
She is survived by four children, Clarence Brown and his wife Brenda of West Harrison, Ind., Pat Duncan and her husband Kelly of Hillsboro, with whom she made her home, William Brown and his wife Patricia of Indiana, and Dora Blozy of Indiana; 19 grandchildren; and several great and great-great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence Albert Brown; two daughters, Shirley Shaffer and Donna Shaver; three brothers, Lawrence Lucas, Paul Lucas, and Junior Lucas; and a sister, Cara Gulley as well as three infant sisters, Ruby, Kathryn and Luemma.
Funeral services will be held noon Tuesday, Feb. 1, 2011 at the Turner & Son Funeral Home in Hillsboro. Pastor John Worley will officiate. Burial will follow in the Maineville Cemetery. Friends may call on Tuesday from 10 a.m. until the time of the service at noon.
