Betty Louise Yochum Morris, beloved wife and mother, entered into rest Saturday, June 19, 2010.
Betty, the daughter of the late Lawrence and Edna (Fender) Yochum of Hillsboro, was born Jan. 27, 1926 in Highland County. After graduating from Marshall High School, she married John Morris of Wilmington. They later relocated to South Carolina.
Betty received Christ as her savior at a young age and continued to walk in his path throughout her life. She leaves cherished memories of her singing and her laughter with all who loved her.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband John and her brother Paul L. Yochum of Marshall, Ohio.
She is survived by her sister, Naomi Dolph of Wilmington; brother, Ralph J.Yochum and wife Marjorie of Marshall; sons James E. Morris and wife Angie of Prince George, Va., Stephen L. Morris and wife Marion of St. Cloud, Fla., and Lawrence D. Morris and wife Susan of North Augusta, S.C.; daughters, Patricia A. Missildine and husband Donald of North Augusta, S.C., and Rebecca S. Carter and husband Joseph of Pensacola, Fla.; 15 grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held at Thompson Funeral Home in Hillsboro, Saturday, June 26, 2010 from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. followed by graveside services at Buford Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggest donations to The Alzheimer's Association.
