Betty Alice Marie White, 78, of Greenfield, died Sunday, Aug. 8, 2010 at Hearth & Care of Greenfield.
She was born Dec. 3, 1931 in Ross County, to the late Harold Lytle and Minnie Pearl (Miller) Groves Lytle.
She was a homemaker and a member of the Good Shepherd United Brethren Church of Greenfield.
She is survived by her husband, Paul W. White, to whom she was married for 61 years; two daughters, Donna (John) Haslett of Indianapolis, Ind.; Dianna (James) Edwards of Greenfield; one son, Paul Virgil (Henrietta) White of South Salem; 10 grandchildren, Karen Pryor, Karla Pryor, and Kim Pryor of Greenfield, Gary (Angie) Hurless of Shelbyville, Ind, Pamela (Matt) Beeler of Pendleton, Ind., Sheila Walker of Greenfield, Rachel (Jon) Brewer of Hillsboro, Tiffini White of South Salem, and Katie and Christopher Rowland of Greenfield; 15 great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; one sister, Beulah Groves Olson of Chesterton, Ind.; numerous nieces and nephews; special family friends, Chris and Nancy Rowland; and all the Freshour families of Greenfield.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one daughter, Brenda Pryor; one great-grandson, Jeremy Johnson; seven brothers, Raymond "Joe," George, Earl "Bub," Milton, Charles, Nelson, and Franklin; three sisters, Ethel Holdren, Dolly Wright, and Thelma Wilson; and two special friends, Shirley and Chuck McMurray.
A funeral service will be held 10 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 12 at the Good Shepherd United Brethren Church of Greenfield, with Pastor Mike Anderson officiating and burial to follow at the Greenfield Cemetery.
A visitation will be held from 4-8 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 11 at the church.
