Betsy Dawn Brogan, 34, of Hillsboro, died Wednesday morning, Feb. 24, 2010 at the Clinton Memorial Hospital in Wilmington. She was born Feb. 18, 1976 in Charleston, S.C., the daughter of Patricia Eade Gordon of Goose Creek, S.C. and the late Jerry Roper. Mrs. Brogan was a former employee of ABX Air in Wilmington. In addition to her mother, she is survived by her husband, Steven Brogan, whom she had married on June 18, 1994 in S.C; two sons, Adam and Corey Brogan of Hillsboro; one sister, Sonya Prather of S.C. one brother, Steven Roper of S.C.; her mother-in-law and father-in-law, Cheryl and Robert Brogan of Grayson, Ky.; and several aunts, uncles and cousins. Services will be held 2 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 27 at the Turner & Son Funeral Home in Hillsboro. Rev. Tom Zile will officiate. Cremation will follow. Friends may call on Saturday from 12-2 p.m. at the Turner & Son Funeral Home in Hillsboro.
