The Southern State Community College Foundation has announced Addison Moran as the recipient of the Dylan Philip Wilson and Nathan Paeltz Memorial Scholarship for the 2026-2027 academic year.

Hurricane Isaias is likely to become a significant storm system before making landfall on the north-central Gulf Coast late Friday or this weekend between the Florida Panhandle and southeast Louisiana, according to the latest forecast by the National Hurricane Center.

The Lynchburg Lions Club sponsors two $500 scholarships for selected High School students. This year’s recipients are Emma Sanderson and Wyatt Osborn who graduated from Lynchburg-Clay High School this spring.
