WLRU 106.9 FM is back on the air

Local radio station WLRU 106.9 FM is back on the air after temporarily being off the air due to the relocation of equipment.

According to Fr. Mike Paraniuk, the station's founder and program director, a new studio has been set up in Batavia, and WLRU will be transmitting from S.R. 247, just south of Hillsboro.

Listeners will be able to tune in to Sunday Mass from St. Benignus Catholic Church in Greenfield at 9 a.m. Sundays, and from St. Mary Catholic Church in Hillsboro at 11:30 a.m. Sundays.

WLRU was scheduled to come on the air on Dec. 23, 2014 beginning with the initial airing of Christmas music.

The station was profiled in the March 2015 edition of The Catholic Telegraph, the official newspaper of the Cincinnati Archdiocese.
