Weastec recognized by Honda with award for operational excellence

Honda recognized 56 North American suppliers during its annual Honda Supplier Conference in Columbus, Ohio, with awards for outstanding performance in supplying the company with parts and materials in 2025. Thirty-seven suppliers were honored for supporting Honda with parts and materials for mass production and 19 suppliers for supplying service parts that serve the needs of customers after they purchase a Honda or Acura product.

Receiving awards for Excellence in Quality and Delivery were Weastec, Inc. of Hillsboro and YUSA Corporation of Washington Court House.

Honda purchased over $35 billion in parts for mass production operations from North American suppliers in 2025, used to produce more than 1.52 million Honda and Acura vehicles sold in North America in 2025. Honda also purchased more than $1.78 billion in parts from Service Parts suppliers used by Honda and Acura dealers to serve customers in North America.

Honda recognized 37 mass production suppliers for outstanding performance in four categories: Excellence in Quality and Delivery; Value; Quality, Delivery & Value; and Sustainability.

Honda conducts business with approximately 700 OEM suppliers across North America, which provide parts to the company's 13 plants nationwide that produce Honda and Acura vehicles, as well as the engines and transmissions that power them.

Honda honored 19 service parts suppliers with awards that reflect a supplier's combined performance in three categories: quality, cost, and on-time delivery.

Honda works with nearly 1,600 service parts suppliers in North America to provide service and accessory parts for more than 26 million Honda and Acura automobiles in operation in the United States, as well as service parts for powersports and power equipment products. Honda manages a national network of parts and distribution facilities that deliver high-quality service parts to customers through Honda and Acura dealers across the country, and support global parts operations.

Honda honored 37 Top OEM Suppliers in four categories: Excellence in Quality and Delivery; Excellence in Value; Excellence in Quality, Delivery & Value; and Excellence in Sustainability.

Honda honored 19 suppliers for outstanding performance in service parts that meet customers' needs after they purchase Honda and Acura products. Service Parts awards are based on overall scores that reflect combined performance across three categories: quality, cost, and delivery.

Honda has now produced automobiles in North America for over 40 years, beginning in November 1982 at the Marysville Auto Plant in Ohio. In 2025, nearly 99% of all Honda and Acura automobiles sold in the U.S. were made in North America.

Honda established manufacturing operations in North America in 1979 with motorcycle production in Marysville, Ohio. Over the past four decades, Honda has steadily grown local production capabilities and now employs about 33,000 associates in North America who support manufacturing operations at 18 Honda plants with the annual capacity to produce 1.6 million automobiles, nearly 2 million engines, 52,000 power equipment products and about 250,000 powersports products, as well as the HondaJet advanced light jet and GE Honda HF120 turbofan engines.

Cumulatively, Honda has invested more than $25 billion in its North American manufacturing capabilities, including more than $3.1 billion over the past five years alone. The company works with over 750 original equipment suppliers in North America with cumulative parts purchases of over $631 billion since 1982.
