Several workers from the Ohio Department of Transportation District 9 are busy this week with an ongoing tree-trimming project on state Route 247 between Folsom and Fairfax.
The targeted area is between Walker and Union roads where a number of trees and limbs pose a potential hazard to motorists.
After heavy rains on Aug. 17 last year, a large tree fell across this section of Route 247, closing the highway for approximately one hour.
Crews were continuing the work on Wednesday afternoon, Feb. 15.
Traffic was being maintained with flaggers at each side of the project. Motorists are advised to use caution.
