If you like dancing with the stars and all the songs of the fun 1950s, you’ll love the Highland County Senior Citizens Center’s 1950s Dance and Dinner on Saturday, May 14.

Doors open at 5 p.m., with burgers and fries and ice cream sundaes for dessert.

The Arthur Murray School of Dance will perform, and then the deejay will play all your favorite songs of the 1950s to dance the night away.

The center will be transformed into a vintage 1950s dinner and dance hall – 1950s attire is welcome, but not required.

Vintage style portraits will be available. Cake walks – that include local donations from businesses – will be an activity as will a hula hoop contest and more.

Tickets are on sale now at the senior center. Tickets are $15 per person and include admission, dinner, dance and the entrainment show. The community is invited to attend this fun fundraiser.

All proceeds benefit the Highland County Senior Citizens Center, a nonprofit and self-supporting organization. Call 393-4745 for more details.
