Section of wall comes down on uptown property

A section of the east wall of the former Murphy-Benham Hardware building came down Wednesday morning.

The building is in the 100 block of West Main Street just behind the West Main Street Cafe and the former Parker Hotel near the Hillsboro Police Department. A section of the alley was temporarily closed.

Property owner Jack Hope was surveying the damage Wednesday.
