Pearson to replace Samuelson as Ag Is Everyone's Business speaker

The Highland County Chamber of Commerce regrets to announce that Orion Samuelson will not be able to attend "Ag is Everyone's Business" this Friday, March 3 as previously announced due to health concerns which require immediate surgery. He deeply regrets that he will not be able to join us on Friday.
Taking his place will be Mike Pearson, host of the nationally syndicated “Market to Market” television program since 2012. Pearson was raised in south central Iowa, attended Simpson College, where he majored in history, and continued to run the family farm south of Winterset, Iowa. After graduation, he moved to Grinnell, Iowa, where he lives with his wife, Heidi. He is a part-time farmer and has experience as a banker with emphasis on agriculture and residential lending.

There will still be a Q&A session during the event, during which guests will be invited to ask Pearson and David T. Daniels, Director of Ohio Department of Agriculture, their important questions.
Guests will also be entered into a raffle upon entry to the event, which will qualify them for a chance to win a Stihl chainsaw or one of two toy tractors. The raffle will take place at the end of the event. Guests must be present at the time of the raffle to win. Prior to the raffle, several pedal tractors will be auctioned to benefit the Highland County FFA chapters as well as Friends of 4-H.
"Ag is Everyone's Business" will take place this Friday, March 3 at the Southern State Community College Patriot Center in Hillsboro. Doors open at 7:30 a.m. Breakfast will be served from 7:30 to 8:30 a.m., and the event begins at 8:30 a.m. Tickets are on sale for $15 and include breakfast. A small additional service charge applies to online and phone purchases. Tickets are limited.
