Patrol plans to hold OVI checkpoint in Clermont County
BATAVIA – The Batavia Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol announced today that troopers will conduct an OVI checkpoint this week in Clermont County to deter and intercept impaired drivers.
The location of where it will take place will be announced on the morning of the checkpoint.
If you plan to consume alcohol, designate a driver or make other travel arrangements before you drink. Don’t let another life be lost for the senseless and selfish act of getting behind the wheel impaired.
Operational support for the sobriety checkpoint will be provided by local law enforcement agencies.
If you see an impaired or reckless driver on the road, call #677 to be connected directly to the nearest Ohio State Highway Patrol post. Your call could save a life.
Additional OVI-related enforcement and educational information can be found on the Patrol’s OVI Dashboard | Ohio State Highway Patrol.
The Patrol is seeking driven, service-minded individuals who are ready to make a difference and removed impaired drivers from Ohio roadways. Those interested can
