OSHP Lebanon Post names Trooper, Dispatcher of the Year

The Lebanon Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol has announced its trooper and dispatcher of the year.

Trooper Nikolas K. Soder, 33, was named the post’s 2024 Trooper of the Year.

Trooper Soder was chosen by his peers for his hard work and willingness to support others. He consistently goes above and beyond, stays actively engaged with his co-workers and fosters a positive, collaborative work environment.

Years of varied experience have shaped him into a trooper who serves with integrity, continually striving to make a meaningful impact on his team and the citizens of Ohio.

Trooper Soder joined the highway patrol in 2023 and has prior service at the Botkins Police Department, Wapakoneta Police Department and the Preble County Sheriff’s Office.

Dispatcher Amy J. Kirk, 47, was named the post’s 2024 Dispatcher of the Year.

Fellow officers and dispatchers chose Dispatcher Kirk for her hard work and dedication. Kirk’s passion for public service and safety is a testament to her character.

Kirk truly cares about people and the safety of her officers, co-workers and the community. Her skills as a Radio Dispatcher are unmatched by others within this organization.

Dispatcher Kirk is a 2010, 2011, 2014 and 2015 Lebanon Post Telecommunication Award Winner and 2015 Wilmington District Award Winner.

Dispatcher Kirk joined the highway patrol in 2008. She previously served for the Highland County Sheriff’s Office and the Hillsboro Police Department.
