One-car crash downs utility pole off U.S. 50

A one-car crash just east of Hillsboro in Liberty Township reduced U.S. 50 to one lane of traffic early Tuesday morning.
A westbound motorist appeared to lose control or swerve on a curve just east of Abe's Used Cars, LLC, in the 8000 block of U.S. 50.
The vehicle struck a utility pole on the south side of the highway, splitting the pole and bringing down power lines.
The Highland County Sheriff's Office was maintaining traffic control. The Paint Creek EMS and Fire District and AEP were on the scene before 7 a.m. today.
No serious injuries were reported.
The incident is under investigation.
