The ninth annual Hannah Losey Memorial 5K Walk/Run in memory of Hannah Marie Losey was held Saturday, Oct. 22 in Greenfield. All proceeds go toward the Hannah Marie Losey Scholarship Fund.
Hannah is remembered for two of her favorite sayings: “May the work I’ve done speak for me,” and “Carpe diem: seize the day,” to live each day as it may be your last because we never know what tomorrow brings.
Thus far, $60,000 has been awarded to 75 McClain High School seniors over the past eight years.
“We’ve also given a graduate from Hannah’s class money for their sophomore, junior and senior years at college," noted John and Brenda Losey.
"We’ve also supported some area youths on mission trips as well as donating to other various charities in the Greenfield area.”
