National POW/MIA recognition ceremony to be held Friday

National POW/MIA Recognition Day 2010 will be observed at the Chillicothe Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Medical Center with a formal ceremony in the Building 9 auditorium beginning at 2 p.m. on Friday, September 17, to honor and remember those who were prisoners of war (POWs) or are listed as missing in action.  
Karen Patterson, Author of ³Allies Forever:  The Life & Times of an American POW², will serve as keynote speaker.  The American Legion Post 62 Color Guard and Paint Valley High School Jr. ROTC Drill Team will also be participating in the ceremony.  The general public is invited to attend to recognize and pay tribute to these special Americans.  All gave some . . . Some gave all!  Honor their service.  Fulfill their trust.
